Learning Development Department
The Learning Development Department are here to provide for students
with 'special educational needs'. These needs vary enormously from
help with thinking and understanding, physical or sensory difficulties,
emotional and behavioural difficulties, or difficulties with speech
and language or how they relate to and behave with other people.
If you have and concern for your child(ren) then you should contact
your child's form tutor or our Special Educational Needs Coordinator
(SENCO). You will be able to talk over your concerns and find out
what the school thinks. The SENCO will be able to explain what happens
next.
The Department of Education has written an informative document
called 'Special Educational Needs (SEN): A guide for parents
and carers. Please download
this here (ACF5DF.pdf, 336kb)
